About 2048
2048 is a sliding puzzle where every move shifts the whole board. When two tiles with the same number collide, they combine into one tile with double the value. The board is only sixteen cells, so empty space is the real resource. GameZumoza’s version keeps the classic rule set, adds a visible best score on your device, and works with both keyboard and swipe so you can play on a phone without hunting for tiny buttons. There is no timer. You can think between moves, undo nothing except by restarting, and stop when the board locks or you reach the 2048 tile.
How to Play 2048
- Press Play, then move the board up, down, left, or right.
- All tiles slide as far as they can in that direction.
- Matching numbers that hit each other merge once per move.
- A new 2 (sometimes a 4) appears in a random empty cell after every move.
- Keep merging until you create a 2048 tile, or until the board cannot move.

Objective
Create a tile with the value 2048. You can keep playing after that for a higher score. The round ends when no slide would change the board.
Tips for Playing 2048
- Pick one corner for your highest tile and try not to move it out.
- Build descending values along an edge so merges chain toward that corner.
- Avoid up-and-down thrashing that breaks a sorted edge.
- A move that creates no merge and no useful space is usually a waste.
